LOS ANGELES — Zhang Zhengzhong, President of the World Lung Kong Chew Lun Association, highlighted that the Lung Kong clan has always cherished the spirit of "Loyalty, Righteousness, Benevolence, and Courage," noting that the gathering of members across the four ancestral surnames (Liu, Guan, Zhang, and Zhao) overseas embodies the ideal that "all people within the four seas are brothers." He emphasized that the Chinese Consolidated Benevolent Association of Greater Los Angeles (CCBA-LA), as a century-old traditional community organization, holds an esteemed standing, and the Lung Kong community deeply respects and values its history. Zhang previously served for many years as senior chairman of the Free China Relief Association (now Chinese Rescue Association), dedicating himself to humanitarian relief, refugee resettlement, and other social welfare services.

CCBA-LA President Tsak-Ying Nip introduced the association’s three core affiliate bodies to the visiting delegation: the Cemetery Association (Fudi Hui), which cares for the deceased and funeral arrangements of overseas compatriots; the School Board of Trustees, committed to passing down Confucian culture and heritage; and the Welfare Association (Fuqiao Hui), which oversees community welfare and services. Pan-American Chinese Association CEO Tze-Hao Chang reviewed CCBA’s historical development since its founding in 1887, emphasizing that CCBA remains steadfast in advocating for the rights and well-being of the Chinese community.

World Association Elder Guan Xianhui and his wife commended the Cemetery Association for its compassionate work in providing funeral care and final resting services for compatriots. Meanwhile, 85-year-old World Association Senior Advisor Zhang Xuehai presented CCBA with a historic, commemorative photograph featuring former President Chiang Kai-shek. During the meeting, Malaysia Chapter President Zhang Chengxing announced that the 2027 World Lung Kong Convention will take place from September 10 to 13, 2027, in Penang, Malaysia, warmly inviting global clan kin and overseas community leaders to participate. The goodwill visit concluded on a warm and celebratory note with an exchange of commemorative gifts and a ceremonial cake cutting.

The CCBA delegation was led by President Tsak-Ying Nip, Vice President Pak-Tin Chu, Supervisory Board Chairman Li-Ching Chang, and Vice Chairman Kwok-Fai Leung, with Theresa Lin, Vice President of the CCBA Lim Family Association, presiding over the event. Attending advisors and community leaders included Kenneth Ma, Jie-Zhou Fang, Kuomintang (KMT) Central Review Committee Member Yan-Nong Yu, Hui-Lin Cai, Guo-Hao Liu, Yu-Xi Wu, former Overseas Community Affairs Council Commissioner Jia-Gan Yang, and former President of the Lucky Women’s Club Shan-Yi Zhao.
